Who we are

Since 1985, we are the longest established dive centre on the island of Gozo. In our business, every customer is looking for a safe, professional, efficient and friendly operation. From the feedback and the repeat business we get from our clients, we score very highly in all of these areas.

Our reputation for providing a high quality service is something we work hard on every day, so as to maintain it. Our dive centre is the only recognised 'BSAC Centre of Excellence' in Gozo and also the longest established PADI dive centre on the island.

Where we are

Our dive centre is based on the sister island of Malta, right in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. The nearest airport is in Malta, the mainland, and it is no more than three and a half hour flight from anywhere in Europe. Getting to the island of Gozo is an adventure in itself, as you will be picked up from the airport and transported to the ferry on the Malta side, then you board the ferry and 25 minutes later, you are in Gozo, where you will be picked up and transported to the accommodation of your choice.

Our dive centre is situated right at the water’s edge of Marsalforn Bay, on the north side of the island. This is the most frequented tourist place in Gozo and your are never more than 15 minutes away from us, regardless of which part of the island you are staying in.

What you can expect

Apart from our extensive diving services, we, at Calypso Dive Centre, can take care of your complete holiday package to include transfers, accommodation in hotels, private villas with pool, self catering apartments, guest-houses, car hire, tours etc.
Please contact us with your specific requirements and we will come back with a definite quote, with no hidden extras or surprises.

The Dive Sites

Gozo’s dive sites are quite numerous for such a tiny island, and they vary from reefs, caverns, caves to wrecks, drop-offs and tunnels. The underwater topography around underwater Gozo is something spectacular and must be seen to be appreciated.

Most of the dive sites are quite suitable both for the beginners and the most advanced. The clarity of the water is rarely below 25 metres and our seas are practically free of tides and currents.

Also, the water temperature is never below 16° Celsius in the winter months and reaches a maximum of 28° Celsius in the summer months.

The Diving Wreck diving in Malta with Calypso Diving

Our multilingual team of certified instructors have an intimate knowledge of every dive site you will be taken to, so that you can get the maximum pleasure of your dive time, with the peace of mind that you are going to be in safe hands all the time. You will be given a full briefing of the site, every time.

At least once a week, we charter a hard boat for a full day trip to the nearby island of Comino, where we make two dives, with lunch on board the boat in between the dives.
